Cabo Blanco
|
In 1963, thanks to the dedication of a Swedish couple Karen Mogensen , and Olof Wessberg the land that had previously been farmed was left to return to its natural state for this pioneer project. The reserve has 1,172 hectares of mixed forest, which is classified as moist tropical forest. Evergreen species are predominate, but dry forest species are found as well. Among the most common trees are Espavel, Zapote, Guanacaste, and Pochotes. The tour departs at 7:30 for Cabo Blanco, and the morning is spent exploring the natural wonders it has to offer. After enjoying a day of guided hiking and swimming at the beaches, the tour is ended with lunch. Also included is transportation to and from the park and the entrance fee. |
